Doric TV visits the Islands of Unst, Yell, and Fetlar which are off mainland Shetland. Doric TV provides a variety of content and on occasion visits other parts of Scotland. Especially those posts that are similar in nature to presenter Jill’s own coastal homeland in Aberdeenshire.
As a reminder Doric is a Scottish dialect spoken by thousands of locals in Aberdeenshire , all be it in a more diluted fashion than in days gone by .
Jill visited the furthest most northern part of Britain to the island of Unst , she also took the opportunity to visit neighbouring isles of Yell and Fetlar . All steeped in rugged coastlines, a wealth of history and wildlife with traditions of crofting and fishing.
