Fabulous interview Jill! It brings back so many memories of my childhood as well (in the 50’s and 60’s). While we had TV, it was radio that defined our music culture and the culture of young people growing up at that time. It’s amazing to me, the number of listeners WAVE radio has. Kenny King is a very compelling, interesting man, and clearly a fan of the Doric language and Doric TV! Word of your work continues to spread; I’m happy for the success of Doric TV. Onward and upward!
Lovely to hear your comment Susie, all the way from the USA . Kenny King and Waves Radio is a blessing to so many in the Buchan Area, his enthusiastic approach and that of his presenters is very uplifting especially at this time of the coronavirus.
Kenny King is such an enthusiastic mannny, his radio show is different every day and this is why Waves is so popular. Lots o folk on their own must find it comforting because you feel as though you are part of the productions, such is the warmth of live radio, particularly Waves.
