Goose Rock 2022
Cam Cameron , who entered the 2022 Doric Challange with his recital of the poem ‘Oor Tatty Al flag ‘ a tribute to the Gordon Highlanders flag, endeavoured to do another even greater Challange this year ‘The Rockall’ Challange.
Cam originally fae Buckie in Aberdeenshire kept Doric TV up to date with his endeavour of landing on Rockall, which is a tiny uninhabited granite islet in the North Atlantic Ocean, 187 miles from Soay in Scotland . The intention was to stay there for a week to raise funds for some very deserving causes.
Due to various factors , Rockall has had to be postponed this year but Cam did do a trial run to Goose Rock which is off the coast of Newquay , Cornwall in June .
We were delighted that Cam sent these images below of Goose Rock and that he continues to remember and keep in touch with his roots back here in the North East of Scotland . We wish Cam all the best and hope he makes in to Rockall next year .
