Connecting People, Places, Cultures, and Experiences – is what Doric TV does best!

Brandon McPhee, Castletown, Wick. Well-known Scottish entertainer – composer, singer, and champion button accordion player. Joins Doric TV to share experiences from Aberdeenshire to Caithness!    The Doric Future Website is dedicated to the memory of Jimmy Cantlay, my dad ! a well-known sheep farmer from North East Scotland. Our only holiday away from the busy life of farming was a  yearly three-day trip to the Caithness lambs sales. We discovered the farming/crofting communities held the same warmth like that of Aberdeenshire.  Not coming from a musical family we were enthralled by the musicians who came to entertain us after the sheep sales, which bound our association over many decades.  It was my delight to catch up with Brandon and to pay tribute to that long-standing connection.

Through the introduction, Brandon goes on to describe his career and own musical association with the city of Aberdeen and Aberdeen shire.

With that magic touch on his, accordion Brandon plays one of my favorites‘ The Flying Scotsman’
