I wis brocht up in Buckie and joined the Gordons in 1987. My faither wis fae Finechty and so wis my Granny and great granny and great great granny.
I left in ninety twa and joined the Navy.
I bide in Wiltshire noo and I suppose ye quid say i was an english man noo.
I wrote the tatty al flag aifter I heard Johnny cash’s ragged old flag.
He dis it afa better than me but say I – i thocht the Gordons should hae a tribute til the colours.
