I think it is very important to keep the Doric dialect alive.
Growing up in a fishing community which is rich in folklore and culture is very much of who I am and do not wish memories of the past to be lost.
During lockdown I ventured into a Youtube career making videos on art and craft for children and grannies.
I also have enjoyed some zoom sessions doing my recall and reminiscence through hats consisting of hats from the 1930s to present day including hats from round the world and work hats. Hats are a very good trigger to the memory especially with the older population.
One of my video’s is posted below so you can check thinks out, you can see much more on my You Tube Channel.
